Forges-les-Eaux, a successful destination
In March 2024, the town was awarded the international GREEN DESTINATION label in recognition of its exemplary efforts in the field of sustainable development. This distinction underlines Forges-les-Eaux’s strong commitment to preserving its environment and promoting eco-responsible tourism.
After a thorough and meticulous preparation phase involving interviews with the destination’s stakeholders and extensive documentary research, an activity report covering more than 84 sustainability criteria and indicators was completed on the organisation’s platform at the beginning of 2024. This was followed by an on-site audit last February.
Forges-les-Eaux achieved a remarkable score of 7.1/10 in all areas assessed. The town was extremely proud of this achievement, which underlines its commitment to sustainable development.
Forges-les-Eaux is proud to have been awarded the SILVER Award for Green Destinations.
The town is the 3rd French destination to obtain this international certification, and the 1st in Seine-Maritime!
